This is my personal Blog. It used to be located here, however I changed my CMS to WordPress, and I wanted this page to act as more of a directory for more of my projects.
WordPress is pretty awsome, and even more so now that I'm using Nakama. Nakama it allows me to post pictures and movies from my cell phone directly to my Blog.
This is my professional site developed to show clients how I work and what I think about when faced with various tasks. This is a window to how I think critically about web development.
Almost immediatly after I learned and started working with Flash 3, I began teaching classes in Flash. Initially for a school called Learn iT! in downtown San Francisco, and following that for the College of San Mateo. I still teach a class I designed in "Advanced Flash" (which is basically beginning programming for designers) at CSM periodically.
The intent of this site is to write about various Flash Development methods I've encountered, and deal with all the time.
Recently I set up WordPress to manage all the curriculum for this class. I also tried out Netcasting (also known as podcasting) my lectures so they would be available to the students if they missed a class, or needed to review.
In previous semesters I used to show up at the campus at least an hour early in order to go the the campus copy center and make ~40 coppies of my lab/handout for that class. Then I'd have to haul around all the extras for the students who didn't show up or lost their handout. Operating an aged industrial Xerox (printing both sides and copying) is no easy matter, especially if all the machines were down waiting for repairs. Using a CMS saved me loads of prep time, and I thought being able to post the audio of my lectures immediatly following the class was pretty cool.
Back when my daughter was born, I was eating a lot of take-out food. However my options always seemed limited to what menu's I had in the house. I could never find much of any information on any restaurant in my area on-line, and that always seemed frustrating to me. Things are just getting started...So be patient.
